Gameplay Mechanics
Gainsay System
While the previous game featured a straightforward, traditional plow-based combat system akin to most fantasy role-playing games, this game has a new grid-based combat system that remains turn-based but is much more refined. The actor can now move their characters every turn, as well as build larger parties of allies that tin be in play at in one case, against larger groups of opponents. This system encourages strategy from player and opponent alike, every bit attacks at present knock back, or even frontwards, characters, which can brand them more than or less susceptible to certain attacks. Motion on the grid opens upward some attacks and closes others.
While the 'magic' system of the previous game is discarded due to the shift in theme to superheroics, the histrion's farts remain a valuable asset, with the capability to alter time and infinite, by for instance re-arranging the order of attacks in boxing. (The exact details of this power have not yet been laid out or confirmed.)
Every graphic symbol besides has an 'Ultimate' ability linked to their well-nigh powerful attacks, which is fueled past every hitting made confronting an opponent over the course of a battle - these attacks are frequently accompanied by over-the-top and outlandish visuals, such every bit the Human Kite flying to space to shoot laser beams.
Time Farts
Like the previous game, farting is the unmarried almost of import system mechanic that volition come to save your ass time and fourth dimension over again, pun intended. As you explore and discover the true abilities of your asshole, with a little help from Morgan Freeman and some Mexican food, these abilities aid y'all gain you advantages over enemies in combat, and aid in helping others around town. Be conscientious as you rip holes in space and time, as before long you may just find yourself with a fracture...
- Glitch - Reverse fourth dimension a few seconds backwards, erasing an enemy's turn, bring a useful ally dorsum from the expressionless, or brand sure nobody realizes you moved that ladder in the garage.
- Suspension - Pause time for a few seconds, allowing you to selection upwards things that move chop-chop, turn off switches, or snatch a few rule-free punches.
- Shift - Nearby a massive fan? And so this fart can help you modify the speed of fourth dimension. Brand it night instead of twenty-four hour period, then dorsum, so once more... it actually gets tiresome later on a while. Simply use it when absolutely necessary.

Gaining followers is, of course, really all about the valuable bail formed by taking selfies with other characters. Make sure you're dong customizing your costume showtime!

While the previous game had been acclaimed for replicating the testify's iconic construction paper style, the original South Park elements had to all be re-created and re-blithe in Flash for use in the game, requiring collaboration between the developers and South Park' artists. For the sequel, Ubisoft San Francisco aimed to simplify this process past building an entirely new game engine that is fully capable of not only replicating the show's trademark art style, but as well importing the original art assets used in the show. This enables not merely total accuracy, just the ability to elevator new characters, props, locations and other assets created for Flavour Xx, while the game is still in product.
The game consequently incorporates some elements introduced in seasons (S17 on, largely) that were created shortly before or after the release of the previous game, such as PC Principal and Classi, who both debuted in Season Nineteen, too equally Crunchy's Micro-Brew which debuted the same flavor, and the re-designed Skeeer's Wine Bar, although much of ShiTpaTown is still missing. The game'due south evolution also effected the show, every bit information technology was Senior Producer Jason Schroeder who brought Matt and Trey'southward attention to the fan art about Tweek and Craig that became the cataylist for the episode "Tweek 10 Craig", which in plow informed the game's development.
It is unknown what changes, if any, were fabricated to the game in the final year of release afterward the release of the evidence's twentieth season and Herbert Garrison's surprising and unforseen election every bit President, although some development videos depicted him being used for scale. The game does comprise references to the twentieth season in the form of the Member Berries collectible and the Mechanic who farms them.

- Jenny Simons is rendered "Jennifer".
- Annie Knitts and Leroy Mullins are reverted to their previous names of Annie Nelson and Peter Mullen.

- Heidi Turner appears in the game, just without the lid she has been wearing in the show since Season 20.
The Difficulty Slider
